Help: Registration and Order Process

I'm trying to register and get an error message saying my email address is in use.

Our system requires a unique email address for every account. If you receive an error message saying your address is already in use, it is almost certainly an account you set up before. You can probably just retrieve your login information and continue using the same account. If that doesn't work for any reason, call us at 888-722-5235 and we'll help you sort it out.

I'm trying to upgrade to Premium, but I'm getting a credit card error.

If your card is declined, the error message you receive should give you an idea of what caused the problem. Usually, it's just a typo in the card number (don't use dashes or spaces) or a mismatch in your address information. If you have difficulty authorizing your card for your subscription and would like our help, call Customer Support at 888-722-5235 between 7am and 5pm Monday through Friday (Pacific Time). If you prefer, you can send the billing information to our eFax number: 650-429-2093. For your own protection, please do not send credit card numbers via email.

Can I order by invoice or purchase order?

We do accept purchase orders and issue invoices on request for corporate subscriptions. In order to generate an invoice against your P.O., we need the following information:

  • Your company's full billing address
  • Phone and fax numbers for your Accounts Payable department
  • P.O. number or (in lieu of a purchase order) an explicit statement authorizing us to invoice your company for the subscription(s)
  • Full name and registered username of subscriber(s), so we can locate the account or accounts being upgraded
  • Explicit invoicing instructions (e.g. is a fax required? postal mail? both?) if a PDF invoice by email is not acceptable
  • Expected payment method, i.e. check, credit card, or wire transfer

Invoiced subscriptions will be upgraded to Premium promptly once we have received the information above. Invoiced subscriptions are not eligible for our free trial offer. If you wish to subscribe three or more individuals, ask about our group discount rates.

Can I pre-pay by check?

To pre-pay your annual subscription, send a check or money order for US$149 to the address below. Checks must be payable to Emprend, Inc.

Include your full name, phone and/or email (in case we need to contact you about your order), and your registered username. Funds must be in U.S. dollars. Your account will be upgraded within two business days of receiving your payment. Pre-paid subscriptions are non-refundable, and are not eligible for our free trial offer.

If you prefer, you may pay for your subscription via a company invoice.

Can I pay in non-US currency?

We currently accept payments only in U.S. dollars. International charges are made based on the prevailing exchange rates on the day of the transaction. Some of our international customers find it more convenient to pay for their subscription with a wire transfer against a company invoice. See our invoicing information above for more about this option.

If it's a free trial, why do I have to enter my credit card?

There's no catch or trick involved; we're completely up-front about the full details of our free trial offer. ProjectConnections Premium subscription is a recurring charge. We take your credit card details now to automate the billing process, so that if you like what you see—and we are confident that you will—you won't need to repeat the sign-up process. If you decide to continue your subscription, do nothing; your card will automatically be billed for your first monthly or annual subscription period at the end of your free trial. Likewise, if you cancel during your trial, your card will never be billed. (Returning subscribers are not eligible for the free trial period, and will be billed immediately following order confirmation.) I don't want my account to renew automatically. Can I sign up for a single year/month?

Annual subscribers do have an option to choose between recurring and non-recurring billing. If you are starting an annual subscription and you prefer to subscribe for a single year at a time, simply leave the Recurring Charge box on the Order Form unchecked. Monthly subscriptions are currently designed for recurring billing, and must check the box acknowledging the recurring charge in order to proceed, however there is no minimum subscription period. We also send reminders to annual subscribers about two weeks before their expiration date, to give you a chance to re-subscribe before you lose Premium access.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We cannot accept Discover or Diner's Club cards at this time. You may wish to review our corporate invoicing options if you would prefer an alternate method of payment.

How do I order on behalf of a colleague?

Since ProjectConnections uses session cookies, subscriptions are associated with the member who is logged in when the order is placed. You'll see this username at the top of the order form when you place your order. If you are trying purchase a Premium subscription for another person, you must be logged in as that person—in other words, with their username and password—to associate the subscription with their account. Since we cannot provide this information, you should obtain the login information directly from your colleague before beginning the order. Then, log in to the site with your colleague's information and place the order.

Do you offer corporate discounts?

We do offer subscription discounts for groups of three or more, scaled depending on the number you wish to subscribe. We can arrange payment via P.O. or credit card for these groups. (Please note, however, that the free trial offer applies only to online individual orders.) We'll activate your Premium subscriptions when we receive your P.O. or billing information and then bill your company for those subscriptions at the appropriate discounted rate. Can I bill my subscription to a company credit card?

Of course, as long as you have authorization to use it and the card is accepted. If you need any information from us in order to release vendor locks, or to set us up as a vendor in your accounting system, contact us by emailing customerservice@projectconnections.com or call 888-722-5235 Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm (Pacific time).

Can I subscribe to ProjectConnections without a credit card?

Premium membership in ProjectConnections usually requires a current credit card—either corporate or personal. However, we understand that this may be difficult for some customers, and so have two alternatives for annual subscriptions: P.O. invoicing, and check/money order payments. Please note these alternative forms of payment are not available for monthly subscriptions. For more information about either option, please email us.

Do you offer a student or academic discount?

We do not offer student discounts at this time. However the monthly subscription rate of $14.95 is very reasonable even for most students on a tight budget.

How can I be sure my personal information is safe with ProjectConnections?

Your transaction information is submitted to ProjectConnections using industry-standard practices like SSL encryption, and both your credit card and password are encrypted in our database. Your CSC/CVV2 card security code is never stored in our database, per industry regulations. We take your privacy and data security very seriously. Can I see samples of ProjectConnections templates before I order?

There are several Guest templates available for your review throughout the site; you will generally find at least one in each of our major project phase collections. Additionally, registered Members receive access to about 30% of our template content, providing an excellent preview of the depth and breadth of our material. Our Premium materials are available only by subscription, but our free trial offer provides ample opportunity to review these materials as well. If you prefer, you can take a closer look at some of our Premium templates on our samples page. What are the rates for ProjectConnections Premium subscription?

Premium subscription rates are $14.95 per month, or $149/year. First-time subscribers receive a 15-day trial period to view Premium materials, so you have ample time to see how ProjectConnections can help you get your projects done before you ever pay a thing. (Free trials are one per customer, and returning subscribers are not eligible for the free trial offer.) We also offer group discount rates.
