What's in the newsletter?
Our newsletter includes updates on our newest templates and features, site highlights, "free for two weeks" Premium templates, expert articles, and sometimes-witty banter. We take our mission and project management seriously, but we don't see any reason we can't have a little fun while doing it. Check out a recent issue to see what we mean. Our newsletter comes out every two weeks, and is sent from email@example.com.
What are the "special announcements"?
Once in a while, we'll have a new offering on the site that we think you'd like to know about—for instance, our new podcast series. If we think it's really important, we may drop our newsletter subscribers a special announcement message to let them know about it. These are once-in-a-while messages, and we keep them down to once a quarter.
What's in the vendor offers?
Vendor offer emails are occasional, PM-specific offers from selected advertisers. Yes, that is code for "ads," but we're picky and careful about these—we won't send them for just anyone. Typical emails cover things like PM training and software packages, and often provide access to free whitepapers and webinars. Here's an example so you can see what we mean. If you're in the market for project management training or services, opting to receive vendor offers is a great way to find out what's out there.
I've opted in to emails, but I'm not getting them.
In this day of rampant spam, many network administrators are getting understandably aggressive about managing email through filters. Unfortunately, this often has the result of filtering out emails we want, too. If you subscribed at least 2 weeks ago and have not received any newsletters, chances are good that your email filters are catching our emails. Try adding our domain—projectconnections.com—to your white list, safe list, safe senders, or whatever your preferred email client calls it. (Here are instructions for common email clients.) If you suspect your company's filters are the culprit, check with your network administrators and ask for projectconnections.com to be put on your "white list," or check your Deleted Mail bin and see if your emails are being sent there (in which case you can add us to your mail program's safe list). If IT balks and won't whitelist our emails, you may want to change your email address to an alternate account you know will receive our mailings.
