
Business stakeholders sometimes ask us to duplicate what already exists. Sometimes, a close copy of the existing solution is enough. But, more often, the best solution requires that we change the status quo to achieve greater efficiency, make things work faster, cleaner, or cheaper, etc. Projects are rarely started to keep things working exactly the way they are today.
